It is our exclusive system that allows the sealing of spoked rims by transforming any spoked wheel into a “tubeless” wheel: a polymeric rubber band made to measure for each individual wheel, which wraps the rim inside the channel, sealing the spoke holes permanently!
BARTUBELESS can be applied to all spoked wheels equipped with an anti-bead rim.
The anti-beading edge called hump is a raised edge inside the channel that keeps the tire bead in place. In fact, when the inflation pressure is insufficient, the bead can slide and slide in the channel causing the sudden collapse of the tire with the consequence of the loss of control of the vehicle: this is the so-called bead breaking. The anti-bead edge or hump serves to prevent this from happening, preventing the tire bead from sliding into the channel even when the pressure is low or zero.
In the event of a puncture in a wheel with an air chamber (tube type), the loss of pressure is immediate and, in the absence of a hump, the tire can suddenly bead with dangerous consequences on the vehicle’s set-up. With tubeless tires, the pressure loss is generally slower and gives the driver time to stop, but without hump it is not advisable to continue driving because when the pressure gets to be very low it is possible that the bead breaking with sudden sagging of the wheel.
Even if tubeless tires reduce the risk of sudden collapse in the event of a puncture, the presence of the anti-bead edge is always important.
